North Central Summer Workshop

The Minnesota Association of Recycling Managers and the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association - North Central Chapter are hosting a joint meeting on June 23 focused on collaboration between recycling and household hazardous waste programs.

The meeting will begin with a tour of Amazon Environmental Inc. in Fridley, highlighting their paint recycling operations. The group will then reconvene at the Ramsey County Environmental Center for lunch and a joint meeting.

Discussion will focus on topics that bridge the gap between recycling and HHW. We'll hear from Ross Dudzik -  Paintcare Program Coordinator for MN & IL.

A key goal of this partnership is improving how we message around household hazardous materials that contaminate recycling or end up in the trash when they shouldn’t. The meeting will also include time for networking, program updates, and identifying opportunities for ongoing collaboration.
