HHW Reporting: Survival Guide to CDTFA and eVQ

Full Abstract: Now that you have finished with your universal waste electronic devices annual report, it is time to complete your next mandatory Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) reporting.  The Department of Toxic Substances Control has determined that even though HHW are exempt from hazardous waste generation and handling fees, they are still subject to the fee and therefore all HHW facilities and other exempt fee programs must file the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) annual report.  This is likely the first time your program will need to file this report so you must register for a CDTFA account first then file the report by March 2^nd for calendar year 2024.  You will also learn how to file your Electronic Verification Questionnaire for calendar year 2025 which is due March 31^st..

Simple Abstract: Come learn the ins and outs of completing the new mandatory HHW facility reporting requirements including CDTFA Generation and Handling report and the Electronic Verification Questionnaire.  We will walk though the process for registering for a CDTFA account and filing the report due March 2^nd and the eVQ report due March 31^st.

Larry is also known to drive around California a lot, especially in rural areas, providing assistance on a variety of solid and hazardous waste issues. Larry has been adopted by the 27-member Rural Counties’ Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority in 2000.  Larry also serves on the SWANA Legislative Task Force for the Gold Rush Chapter Board. Larry can often be seen monitoring and reacting to regulatory agency meetings.
