Safe Transportation of Lithium Batteries
Description: This presentation provides an overview of the US DOT requirements for the transportation of lithium-ion and lithium metal batteries (as detailed in 49 CFR Parts 171-180). In addition to general packaging and marking requirements, we will focus on small battery exceptions, shipping for recycling and disposal, and provisions for damaged, defective, or recalled (DDR) lithium batteries.
