Extended Producer Responsibility for Lithium Batteries
The National Stewardship Action Council will host the 5th Lithium battery webinar on Tuesday, February 28th , from 1 to 3 pm CST.
EXTENDED PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY FOR LITHIUM BATTERIES
The United States has seen numerous laws introduced and passed to extend manufacturer’s responsibility for products that cause health and safety concerns, from the Pine Tree State to the Golden State. With battery fires plaguing the materials management system and threatening worker and public safety, states are taken action to protect residents from improper battery disposal. During the webinar, we’ll discuss the positives and negatives of battery EPR, lessons learned, and the steps you can take to pass battery EPR in your region. We’ll also hear from British Canada on their battery stewardship program.
